🔹Rosatom and DP World Build Container Ship for Cargo Transportation Along the NSR. Within the scope of the joint venture between Rosatom and Emirates DP World, it is planned to build a container ship for cargo transportation along the Northern Sea Route (NSR). The project is being implemented and the design of the ship is undertaken. A joint venture was established to develop transit container traffic along the NSR:

🔹China and Russia Discuss Northern Sea Route Cargo Insurance. The Russian Government is discussing with China the insurance of cargo shipped along the Northern Sea Route (NSR). Right now, many shipowners do not use the Northern Sea Route simply because the cargo is not insured:

🔹Development of the Largest Lithium Deposit Started in the Arctic Region. Russian Nornickel and Rosatom companies have increased the authorised capital of their joint venture, Polar Lithium, to RUB 2.6 billion ($29,4 million). Apart from mining, the purpose is to develop the action plan to support the indigenous and reindeer herding peoples living in the region:

🔹Underwater Robotic Gliders to Explore the Arctic. The Arctic region will be studied using constellations of automated and robotic systems, namely, ice stations, floating buoys and underwater gliders. They will increase the efficiency of research so that a holistic picture of the region can be obtained:
