On December 12-13, 2024, St. Petersburg will host the 14th International Forum Arctic: Today and the Future named after Arthur Chilingarov.
The event focuses on sustainable development to drive economic growth and engage residents in Arctic exploration. The forum will discuss achieving national development goals in the Arctic, considering the region's unique conditions.

The opening plenary will address Russia’s national goals for the Arctic, followed by a second-day session on advancing economic, technological, and environmental resilience in 10 Arctic zones.
Highlights include a conference on the Northern Sea Route, new sessions on adapting Arctic projects to economic changes, and the region’s creative industry potential. International sessions will cover Russia-China cooperation, Arctic collaboration, and scientific dialogue. Additionally, the forum will feature a youth program and an exhibition on Arctic projects and innovations.
The forum is annually organized by the Association of Polar Explorers.
