“The assumptions and statements made in the media that the company is allegedly involved in the formation of a shadow fleet, its management and shipments from the Arctic LNG 2 project are not true”.

NOVATEK leadership notes that despite the company being one of the stakeholders in the project Arctic LNG 2, "its employees are not employees of the project," and all operational and commercial activities are under the control of the Arctic LNG 2 leadership.

“NOVATEK will suppress all attempts to publish and disseminate untrue information aimed at causing damage to the company, and will defend its interests in court”.

The Yamal LNG leadership has recently addressed media claims suggesting that gas carriers chartered by Yamal LNG are being used to transport products from the Arctic LNG 2 project. According to their statement, these claims are either a serious mistake or a deliberate attempt to mislead, involving misinformation from the media and certain so-called experts.
