21st International Scientific Conference on Arctic Issues

 

Students and graduate students are invited to participate in the 21st International Scientific Conference for Students and Postgraduates «Problems of the Arctic Region», dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The Polar Geophysical Institute, Federal Research Centre «Kola Science Centre of Russian Academy of Sceines», the Murmansk Marine Biological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Murmansk Arctic University extend this invitation.

This year's conference will delve into various aspects of Arctic Region development, encompassing natural sciences, ecology, technology, economics, and humanities. The event will feature sessions covering topics such as:

  • Arctic hydrobiology and ichthyology,
  • biology and medicine,
  • bioresources and aquaculture,
  • geology and geophysics of the Arctic Region,
  • humanitarian and social issues,
  • information technologies and mathematical methods,
  • educational challenges in the Arctic Region,
  • physical problems,
  • chemical and technological issues,
  • northern ecology,
  • economic challenges in Arctic exploration.

To participate, applications shall be submitted via academic supervisors to the Organizing Committee by email issc@pgi.ru. Deadline is April 17, 2024.
